John Stappas been in the hairstyling industry since 1985; working throughout Europe, Canada, and the United States. After many years of international recognition, John settled in Halifax and opened Sykea Hair Salon in 1995. With John's creative and energetic approach to hairstyling, his work has been featured in many prominent magazines, as well as leading Canadian pop-rock videos and album covers. John was one of the creative forces, producer and the host, of the Halifax-based television show "FASHION FOCUS"

Corissa

Corissa Stappas has been in
the
hairstyling
business
since
1986; not only as a Colour Technician, but as a salon and technical Educator. The diversity of Corissa's work and talent has been featured on many leading manufacturers platforms across the nation. She currently co-heads the technical department at Sykea Hair Salon in Halifax. Corissa was also one of the members of the Sykea Artistic Team featured on the Maritime television show "FASHION FOCUS".

Marina Shepeta has been formally trained at the Aveda Institute in New York, and has been practicing her hair dressing talents at Sykea since early 1999. She prides herself on keeping up to date on all the latest hairstyles and fashion trends, making her a salon favorite. She is especially an expert in razor cutting techniques. Marina not only invites her own clientele, but also welcomes new clientele to visit her at Sykea Hair.

has

He

abroad
and
has

certified

Zealand

in
the
field
of

cutting

styling,
he
has
worked
directly
with
some

the

fashion
designers,
and
retailers
in
the
country
producing
some
of
Canada's
most
memorable
fashion
shows.
His
education
includes
the
Pivot
Point
Academy
in
Chicago
Illinois,
a
Master
Instructor
at
the
acclaimed
Martin
Parsons
Academy
in
Toronto,
and
various
platform
seminars
as
a
guest
artist
for
some
of
the
leading
producers
of
hair
care
world
wide.
With
his
unique
approach
to
customizing
and
maintaining
beautiful
hair
he
has
produced
a
loyal
following
of
both
men
and
women
who
prefer
a
classic
contemporary
approach
to
complement
their
over
all

Christeen
|
Christeen Moir is a master stylist and has been in the industry since 1985. She has worked as an educator and holds a certificate as a master colorist. She loves traveling around the world and was in Greece for three years. Christeen enjoys all aspects of hairstyling and has extensive experience with curly hair and precision blunt cuts. She welcomes all established and new clients to visit her at SYKEA.

Tim Black brings his flair for creativity as a former professional musician to the hairstyling arena. With an eye for classic forms, he will also indulge clients with up to date looks. Tim is trained in advanced coloring and looks forward to bringing new styles to all his clients, as well as all the classic styles.

Marion

Marion Dobson's hairstyling career began in 1978, where she has been active as both a stylist and an educator. She has received advanced training from Vidal Sassoon in Los Angeles, as well as Jingles International in San Francisco. Marion holds a Master Instructors License, and enjoys all aspects of hair design. She also offers complimentary consultations for new clients.

Jarrett

Nicole has been creating modern hair styles throughout New Zealand, Ontario and now Nova Scotia for
several
years. Specializing in advanced colour techniques and formal hair-ups, she has been featured in New Zealand publications for her work on dreadlocks. She looks forward to looking after all of your hair needs at
